Food Dudes

We’re all very excited about starting the Food Dudes programme tomorrow!! The first batch of fresh fruit and veg for tasting will be delivered to the school tomorrow morning. Please follow the link below to the Food Dudes Website for further information.

Donald ° Feliz Navidad a Todos

Well done to all the children from  the Woodland National School cross country teams, who went to Killybegs on the 11th of November to compete in the  Ulster School Cross Country races. Thank you to all teachers involved, a special thanks to Evelyn Roche and Sonia Moore who have been training the team in prepartion for this. Parent Teacher Meetings

Parent/Teacher meeting will take place in the school on Thursday, the 2nd of December 2010 from 1pm to 5.45pm. Children will go home at 12.30pm. The time will be broken up into two blocks:

Families with surnames A-J (Inclusive)   1.00pm-3.00pm

Teachers will take 15min break from   3.00-3.15pm

Families with surnames K-Z        3.15-5.45pm

Parents are asked to limit their meeting to a max. 5-10 minutes.

Welcome to Cristina Planas, Cristina is from Barcelona and is teaching basic Spanish and introducing aspects of Spain (history, culture, food etc.) to some of the children.

Winter Planting

Last Friday, the 19th of November, children from the Autism classes and the Speech & Language classes were helped to plant bulbs and flowering plants by children from the older classes. We’re looking forward to watching these grow and flower in Spring….

Halloween Disco

The total amount raised at the Halloween Disco for Ciara Murray was 1705 euro. Her parents have passed on a very heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed in any way. Well done everyone!

Welcome back to pupils, teachers and parents after our mid-term break! Hopefully everybody enjoyed Hallowe’en! We had great fun dressing up and dancing at the disco the Friday before we broke up.
